Bump, set, spike! The City of Edina Park and Recreation Department is forming its 2008-2009 adult volleyball leagues.

Official games will be held Wednesday evenings beginning Oct. 17. The leagues end play in early March. This season, there will be a co-recreational "D-level" division. Playoffs will be a double-elimination tournament.

At least half of the players on a team must live or work in the City. A team can include up to two non-residents for an additional fee. 

"Adult volleyball is a great way to bond with your company co-workers, neighbors or friends while getting a great workout," said Recreational Supervisor Donna Tilsner.

The deadline to register is Sept. 28. Informational packets are available at City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., or can be downloaded below.  For more information on the program, call 952-826-0367.
