Robbery reported at Lunds

Edina, Minn., Jan. 24, 2008 -- On Jan. 15 at approximately 12:30 a.m., a lone male entered the Lunds Foods store at 3945 W.50^th St., Edina. He picked up some milk and began to pay for it, then demanded money from the cashier after the register was opened. The cashier complied and the suspect fled, pointing a black handgun at the victim as he ran out the door. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The suspect is a white male, 18 to 23 years old, approximately 5-foot-9-inches, 140 pounds, and was wearing a black stocking cap, black “Mechanix” gloves, and a brown hooded sweatshirt/jacket with lettering on the front and a patch or insignia on the right sleeve. He may have had a red hooded sweatshirt on underneath the brown sweatshirt/jacket.
