To offset the costs of the annual
July 4 parade, the City accepts donations from the community. Money
collected pays for such things as marching bands, professional
clowns, costumed characters and other types of entertainment.
Donations of all amounts are welcomed and
appreciated. Donations of $250 or more are considered parade
sponsorships. The Edina 4th of July Parade offers four levels of
sponsorship participation:
Platinum-Level Community Patron
A sponsorship of $5,000 or more offers the following benefits:
- Your company name as presenter of the Edina Fourth of July
Parade on all advertisements and promotional efforts related to
the parade, including the outdoor message board at City Hall, on
the front cover of the official parade program, the home page
and each and every page of the official parade website and on
the volunteer T-shirts worn the day of the parade.
- Parade Participation -- You will have the
option of carrying the Perkins flag in the parade, and/or have
your staff wearing your company clothing distributing the
"goodie" bags and flags prior to the start of the parade.
- Bleacher seating and 35 excellent parking spots for 100 of
your customers or staff.
- Your logo on 5,000 "goodie" bags to be distributed before
the start of the parade.
- Your company name on 5,000 flag sticks to be distributed at
the start of the parade.
Gold Level Community Patron
A sponsorship of $1,000 or more offers the following benefits:
- Inclusion of your company name with logo
on all advertisements and promotional efforts related to the
parade. There will be parade information disseminated throughout
the community over the next five-month period, with particular
concentration during the two months prior to the parade.
- Parade Participation - at your option,
you may either:
- Provide an entry in the parade, such
as a vehicle carrying representatives of your organization
or a float celebrating your company's patriotism.
- Sponsor an entertainment entry (for
example, marching band or equestrian unit) with your
organization's name and logo displayed on a banner
associated with that entry.
- Your company name and logo on every page
except the home page of the City of Edina Official Parade
Website (www.edinaparade.org)
for the full year.
- Your company name and logo prominently
displayed in the official parade program.
Silver Level Community Patron
A contribution of $500 - $999. This sponsorship will provide the
following benefits:
- Your company
name on all advertisements related to the parade, on the sponsorship page of the City of
Edina's official parade website (www.edinaparade.org),
and in the official parade program.
- Your company name in large letters on an
eye-catching banner that will be carried proudly in the parade.
- Parade Participation - you may provide an
entry for the parade that celebrates the occasion and is
consistent with the parade objective of entertaining parade
goers. The parade committee will be happy to assist you in
developing ideas for your entry.
Bronze Level Community Patron
A contribution of $250 - $499. This sponsorship will provide the
following benefits:
- Your business name will appear in the
parade program, on the sponsorship page of the official website
and on a banner carried in the parade.
- For an additional donation of $175, you
may have an entry in the parade, subject to space availability
and the discretion of the parade committee as to the
entertainment value of the proposed entry.
